Following 50% of Saudi Arabian crude oil going offline due to a devastating drone attack on 2 of the country’s crude oil installations, Brent oil futures rose by as much as a record 19.5% and the US Department of Transportation says it will be weeks before we feel the full impact of the huge supply outage. Higher crude prices will now likely flow downstream to diesel, jet fuel, and other energy products that will undoubtedly raise costs to transport passengers, as well as cargo and freight.
